| Bradley Thompson began his 24-year banking career with BB&T, where he served as Senior Vice President and Charlotte City Executive. In 1992 he was part of the SouthTrust Bank expansion where he helped to grow the franchise in North Carolina from 11 branches and $300 million in loans to 38 branches and more than $2 billion in loans in just a decade.
A native of North Carolina, Thompson has been active in the Charlotte community, serving on the boards of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, the Carolina's Partnership, and the United Way of Central Carolina. In addition, Thompson served on the board of the North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry, and the North Carolina Bankers' Association. Thompson was honored with the Award for Distinguished Service by Appalachian State University and recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal's "40 under 40."
